Work this one out on paper, then reveal the full solution and mark yourself.
How you did on each question
Practice under real conditions
Untimed practice teaches the method. A timed, fixed-length test teaches pacing — how long you can actually afford to spend per question before it costs you the rest of the test. Each SolveStep practice test mirrors that structure: a set number of questions, a visible clock, and a score at the end instead of an endless stream.
Numeric questions are graded the instant you submit. Free-response questions — inequalities and calculus — work the way an AP free-response section does: you solve it on paper, reveal the full worked solution, and mark yourself against it.
See how the solver worksPick a test, not a topic
Each test bundles a realistic mix of question types instead of one skill at a time.
Two grading styles, one score
Typed answers are checked instantly; free response is self-graded against a full solution — both count toward your final score.
Review, then retake
Every finished test shows a question-by-question breakdown, and every retake is a freshly randomized set.
Practice Tests FAQ
Are these real timed tests, or just more practice problems?
Each test is a fixed-length set of problems (10–12 questions) with a visible stopwatch and a suggested time, followed by an instant score and a full review — closer to a real test experience than the open-ended Practice Mode.
How are free-response questions graded?
Inequalities and calculus questions are worked out by hand, then you reveal the full step-by-step solution and mark yourself correct or incorrect — the same way AP free-response sections are graded against a rubric rather than a single typed value.
Is my score saved?
Your best score for each test is saved locally in your browser only, so it's there next time you visit on the same device but is never uploaded anywhere.
Can I retake a test?
Yes. Every test generates a fresh, randomized set of questions each time, so retaking one is genuine repeat practice, not memorized answers.
